New Product Line: RICHMOND CONTROLS LEDs
The industry is rapidly moving away from micro-bulbs for locomotive headlight
relamping and additional lighting effects, and adopting LEDs. Richmond Controls
produces an amazing line of micro-LEDs in Golden White for older locomotive
lights and Sunny White for newer models. They are much easier to work with in
electrical terms as they produce a VERY bright light without having to be "tuned"
right to the edge of their ratings like their incandescent cousins.
In addition to standard T-1 (3mm) Golden and Sunny White LEDs, we carry their
"0603" line - surface mount LEDs with wire leads attached in Golden White, Sunny
White, Red, Amber, Aqua Green, and Blue. These tiny LEDs measure only 6/100th
of an inch by 3/100th of an inch and will fit into the headlight housings of many
N-scale engines, so they're perfect for N and HO headlight and marker light
projects. We'll have more info on these LEDs on our "Products" page soon.

| NEW FUTURE PRODUCT! We've received dozens of questions about, and requests for, operating crossing gates. After looking for a long time for a system that can be configured to work with a variety of benchwork types, we have a prototype at work protecting a grade crossing on our workbench! When complete, this new product will feature adjustable stops at both ends and a speed control so you can customize the operation to your needs. Watch the video below to see it in action. It's a tad "rough" with panels open and a wire or two sticking out, but we'll be sure to have all of that cleaned up by the time you buy it. |

that is becoming increasing popular is to install operating signals. From a lone red-
green unit protecting a single switch to full-blown integrated systems spanning
"miles" of track, signals are a great way to add interest for the spectators and
operational fun for the train crews.
To meet this growing market, we introduced our newest product. A "standalone"
controller module, meaning no computers are needed to run it and there's no
programming to do, it follows in the same modular style as a couple of our other
products, the Optical Detector and Alternating Flasher. From automatic block
signaling to junctions and sidings, this module offers a lot of excitement for the
